Steve Gross

Steve is CEO and co-founder of the newly formed Palisade Impact.  Steve is a member of the Palisade Impact Board of Directors.

Steve has over 25-years’ experience in impactful infrastructure and in building and growing businesses around the world.  Steve’s experience covers investment origination, execution and management as well as business development.  Steve has held numerous board and investment committee roles.

Immediately prior to founding Palisade Impact, Steve spent 16 years at Macquarie Asset Management where he held several roles across infrastructure and renewables.  Most recently Steve was Global Head of Impact Investing and was a member of several investment committees.  Before this, Steve was Head of the Investor Solutions Group in Asia Pacific, where he oversaw considerable growth in the platform with a particular focus on water, waste to value, energy transition and held numerous board and management committee roles.  Previous to this, Steve spent five years in London where he was COO of the Macquarie European Infrastructure Funds business.   Prior to joining Macquarie, Steve worked in advisory roles at Citibank and Price Waterhouse.

Steve is the inaugural Chair of Homes Victoria, which oversees $26 billion of social and affordable housing in Victoria as well as the Big Housing Build. Steve actively supports several non-profit organisations including Berry Street (one of Australia’s largest independent family service organisation supporting children and families) where he is a board member.

Steve holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne (with honours) and a Master of Business Administration from London Business School (with distinction).
