Darren has over 29 years of experience in renewables development and is one of the founding directors of EMSL. During his time at Eco2, Darren oversaw the delivery of over 280MW of projects across wind, landfill gas and biomass projects with total funding in excess of £1 billion. In a previous role at Energy Power Resources, Darren oversaw the development of biomass and waste to energy projects in the UK, the Netherlands and the US. Prior to these roles, Darren worked as an engineer, project managing renewable energy projects at UK utility SWALEC plc.

Darren is also Chair of industry body, Biomass UK.

Darren holds a Bachelor of Electrical, Electronic and Communications Engineering Technology / Technician from Swansea University.
